Foam Recycling Guidelines


The following is a list of guidelines that is to be followed, and checked before dropping off your foam.

Please check the following

  1. Is your Foam Clean? Clean means that your foam is clean and free of any tape, plastic film, labels, loose parts or glued-on cardboard, dry, and free of any debris, screws, nails, ext. Empty any coolers or other EPS cartons since food is prohibited.
  2. Is your foam white? We except only white EPS Foam. There are many different types of foam out there, please don't be confused as to what type of foam we recycle here at SCFR. In order to find/learn about what kind of foam you have, please continue reading.
    The following is a list of Foam materials that are not accepted at South Coast Foam Recycling

  • Polyurethane Foam Polyurethane-Foam-Grey-1.2-pcf-PU-1240
  • Plastic Film PU-Polyurethane-Foam
  • Plastic food Services. Including Cups, Trays, and Food boxes ShowImage
  • Egg Cartons 0203A
  • Loose Fill Peanuts. To find out where you can recycling these, please visit http://www.loosefillpackaging.com/ . Also in most cases peanuts can be recycled at your local UPS store. Contact your local UPS store to find out more information. peanuts001
